3^rd and 4^th grade program

3^rd and 4th graders play on teams of approximately 8-10 players and practice 1-2 times per week:

• 1 practice is with the volunteer coach and a TPSC rec trainer
• 1 practice is with the team and parent coach if they wish to run an extra practice

3rd grade is when the kids move up from a size 3 ball to a size 4.

Games are played on the weekend in either Tiburon, Corte Madera or Mill Valley.

3rd grade plays 5 vs 5 with a goalie and 4th grade plays 7 vs 7 with a goalie.  These small-team game formats are conducive to more touches per player and better long-term player development.

At the end of the season, there is an end of season jamboree (tournament) for 3rd and 4^th grades. All teams play 2-3 games of pool play to accumulate points and try to make it into the semi-finals and finals. This is a great opportunity to get some competitive soccer experience for the kids.
